BRACHIOPLASTY AND / OR ARMS LIFTING
The flaccidity of arms resulting from weight loss can be improved by resection of the remaining skin, and sometimes may require a small liposuction. That flaccidity is changed by a scar that is hidden on the inside of the arm.
- Duration of surgery
This procedure lasts approximately 2HRS
- Recovery
For good recovery, arms rest is required as for not bending them because folding them will increase the pressure on the wound and the opening of this will occur. It will be needed by approx. 10 days of rest
- Risks and possible complications
All surgery can present risks and possible complications, could present one or more of these: hemorrhages during or after surgery; Partial or total injury of a nerve; Accumulation of inflammatory liquid (seroma); Infection of a wound; Opening of one or several points of the wound if the arms will bend, in smokers and diabetics, asymmetries; Irregularities; Embolis fat in case of medical lioness and anaflilaxia
- Results
The duration of the results obtained will depend on nutritional care, a balanced diet and exercise that is carried out on a regular basis after surgical treatment.
Additional Information
You will need to use a compression garment for at least 6 months, rehabilitation sessions with ultrasound, radiofrequency, etc., all this to reduce inflammation, pain and obtain a better result. You will need small drain tubes in each arm for the residual blood and inflammatory liquid output for a few days. If there are no complications, a night of hospitalization will usually be needed, which is included in the initial cost, as well as certain pre-established hours of operating room; In case of presenting some complication during or after surgery, medications, extra hours of operating room and any (s) day (s) of hospitalization or re-entry to the operating room may be needed; Any of these events will produce extra costs, which are not included in the initial cost, having to be paid additionally.
